“Our mission is to encourage the children of today to set goals, work hard, and have fun to insure a promising tomorrow.”

“Whatever you may be going through whether it be depression, anxiety, or even if you’re stressed out; remember that you are not alone. Don’t be afraid to speak to someone about what you are going through. There are people everywhere who care and want to help you. There are also people who are going through or have went through the same thing as you are. Do not be afraid to tell someone your story either. They may be going through the same thing as you are. Together we can all overcome the struggles that we face day to day. USE YOUR VOICE!”ALEMA

Most people don’t believe how big of a problem this is. Bullying is so common in our lives that we don’t even realize that we don’t even realize that it’s happening when it does. We believe it to be something normal, everyday thing, when it’s not, not even close. Every time it happens adults say, “they’re kids, they’ll get over it, and it builds character, and makes them stronger they can deal with it themselves,” when in reality it breaks us and breaks us, rips us apart bit by bit. Telling someone their fat doesn’t make you any skinnier, telling someone they’re stupid doesn’t make you any smarter, and telling someone to die definitely doesn’t make you any better than them. It takes one second to say these things but a lifetime to get over. We need to start standing up to those who think they can walk all over us and do whatever they want to us, we are human beings just like them no matter if your religious beliefs are different, if your skin color is different, if you’re gay, bisexual, lesbian, or transgendered if you like reading and studying and doing schoolwork more than going to parties and getting drunk every day, we are all different and that’s what makes us unique and special in our own ways that’s what makes life exciting.Darron Clark

Depression, low self-esteem, body image issues, bullying. Yeah, I've been through all of that. And with going through those hardships, I felt stripped of my identity, of who I was. Being bullied for most of my life put a wall up inside of me, and it wasn't until I was in 8th grade that I decided to knock that wall down. I started an Anti-Bullying Program I like to call Resurrection. Through Resurrection I started to find who I was, and I'm still working on finding the rest of me, but I learned to not let people tell me who they think I should be, but for me to be the person I know I am.Courtney Smith

Your life is like a flame, you breathe as fire does, you eat and grow just like fire. Your life can be exciting and resilient, like a glorious, roaring bond fire that people gather around to enjoy it's warmth and generosity. But then the rain comes, and everyone runs inside. They all run for cover when you are being pelted by the hatred and discrimination down pour of the hurricane. You feel as if you are strong enough to withstand it, but the agony of one rain drop that hits your ambers. The ambers is what sustains you, and they found them. They find your vulnerability and flood in and try to bring you to your knees, to bring you to your breaking point, to snuff you out. They thrust you into the dark world of depression where flames can barely glow. The pounding of adherent hail makes you want to cease to exist and bury the flame for them. But a storm doesn't last forever. There will be a time where the sun will shine again. Of course there will be more storms, but with each rain drop that falls, a flame stronger you will be when you find the sun again.Courtney Smith
