WOODWORTH, La. (GPSO) – The Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office teamed up with the Grant Parish School Board and the organization KidsMatter2 on Tuesday for “KidsMatter2 Day” at the Wesley Center in Woodworth.
The goal of the event was to help students who were possibly headed down the wrong road to get back on the right track.
Students from across Grant Parish were chosen to participate as a reward for their achievements in class.
Activities included team building and communication exercises, zip-lining, archery, and learning basic outdoor skills.
Sheriff Steven McCain told the students that the point of the day’s activities was to teach them, among other lessons, how to work together with others.
